After much consideration as to which direction our business is headed , Loren and I made the tough decision to sell Cash last summer. I had never dreamed of Cash leaving here, but after meeting with Sheila and Chris I knew they would love and appreciate him as much as I have. It truly was like having a child leave home for me, but I took great comfort in knowing that Sheila was forming a bond with him much like mine had been (and really, always will be!) She even slept in the barn with him the first night he went to his new home, talk about being re-assured of a great new home for him!
My Own League won the Cutting Horse Sire of the Year award at the Canadian Supreme in 2010. His kids are coming on strong, and Loren and I will continue to support his future as a sire. With NCHA offspring earnings over $166,500.00 we strongly feel Cash is a sire, and now he has daughters that are producing too! This talented stallion came to Canada in 2003, and was one of the first Peptoboonsmal son’s to stand in Western Canada. Loren had the privilege of showing Boon to a Reserve Title in the $10,000 NH in Canada, and a third place finish in the Open for Canada. Boon had a lot of eye appeal, and a big strong stop. We really enjoyed our time with Boon. He really had a personality, and was an extremely nice stallion to work with for breeding season. The extra bonus with Boon; to date he has only produced one solid colored foal, all others have been roan.
