Welcome to our website!

Training and showing cutting horses is what we do. Since training his first horse over 35 years ago, Loren and I feel we have established a solid business in the horse industry. We strongly believe in our industry and consider it an honour to be making a living working with horses.

It has been 12 years since we made to the decision to build our own facility, to which we will always remain so grateful to my parents Lionel and Gail Hertlein. It seems every year we add or re-do something, but the pride my parents take in the yard, and the building is evident, and again, I don’t know what we would do without them.

Just as the yard around us has matured and become so beautiful, so have our children. The combined family we have (Kody, Dustin, Shay & Sarah) have grown-up, married, gone off to school, and made lives for themselves.  We have our two youngest daughters at home with us. They were born and brought up with the barn and arena here at home, thus making them the “up and coming” cutters in our household.

2010 was just a complete dream come true year for us, and for our business! Our clients had a great year showing their horses, our aged event horses performed so well ,and our daughter Carly had some huge success’s this year on a mare we leased from Equistar Enterprises. We are really looking forward to the 2011 season. A trip down to the NCHA Futurity in December to show Ken Zender’s Highbrow Cat daughter, Cat’s Angel, proved even more eventful than originally planned.  Loren came home with 3 new show horses for the “ladies in his life”.  Skye, Carly, and I now have our own horses to show and enjoy.
